Kaprije is one of the most beautiful islands in the Šibenik archipelago. When you are there, you are separated from Italy by only one island, and from everyday stress and commotion by beautiful nature and crystal clear sea. There are small fields at the foot of the hills with olives and grapes growing. The island has many beaches and a footpath leading from one side of the island to the other. The cove of Kaprije is beautiful at sunset with the boats masts twinkling in the dusk.
You can get a ferry from Sibenik to the island, which takes around an hour.Fast line will take you to Kaprije in 40 minutes. The island’s inhabitants’ chief occupations are fishing and tourism.
Kaprije is a popular stopover to pick up supplies for the yachtsmen on the way to the Kornati Islands. The island has local amenities such as a store, restaurants, ambulance and post office.
Our house is located some 20 metres from the sea. The front of the house is covered with world-famous Brač-style stone that keeps the house cold and pleasant even during the hot summer months. It’s surrounded with olive-trees and other Mediterranean flowers and plants. In front of the house is a garden with olive, hip, and fig trees. After finishing your swimming in the sea, you can take a shower under the outside shower located in front of the house or in your apartment showers. Behind the house are also some olive and pine-trees giving the summer fragrance. There is also located your entrance to the apartments with paved non-slippery stairs.
